Hi everyone – I was in Washington D.C. again this week and want to provide three updates on what we’re doing to support small and independent brewers.
First, I joined a panel with other trade association leaders at the National Beer Wholesalers Association (NBWA) Legislative Conference. It’s great to see the beer industry’s alignment on topics like protecting our federal excise tax rates and dietary guidelines.
Next, the Brewers Association (BA) just joined a broader coalition of beverage alcohol associations in signing a letter to Treasury Secretary Bessent explaining the Alcohol and Tobacco Tax and Trade Bureau’s (TTB) importance to our industry and weighing in prior to any potential cuts to the agency.
Finally, we conducted in-person interviews for our new Federal Affairs Manager, whom we hope to introduce soon.
In all, the Brewers Association continues to have your back in Washington, D.C.
Stay tuned to our website or join our webinar next Thursday, April 17 for the latest on tariffs.
And if you’re on the fence about joining us at the Craft Brewers Conference, I hope you’ll come. We’ve invested a lot of time in making it a valuable and engaging experience.
