The Brewers Association (BA) is pleased to announce the appointment of Samuel (“Sam”) Beaver as its new federal government affairs manager. Sam officially joined the BA team on Wednesday, April 23.
Sam brings over a decade of experience in federal policy and advocacy, having started his career in the office of Congressman Jim Gerlach. He later served on the Senate Finance Committee and as Policy Advisor to Senate Majority Whip John Cornyn. Most recently, Sam was Director of Government Relations at the National Association of Manufacturers.
In his new role, Sam will represent the interests of small and independent brewers on Capitol Hill, leading initiatives such as the BA’s annual Hill Climb, advocating against harmful tariffs, and working to protect the industry from potential tax increases.
“We’re excited to have Sam on board to help advance the federal policy priorities of independent brewers,” said Marc Sorini, the BA’s vice president of government affairs. “His experience and insight will be invaluable as we continue to advocate for a fair and sustainable business environment for our members.”
